Coco wire is used by organic hop growers around the world to allow the hop vine to better climb to the top of the scaffolding, it is hung on the cable with a “cabestan” type knot (provide 15cm of wire) and driven 15cm (allow 30cm of wire) or more into the ground with a notched spear.
It is the best alternative to the wire used by 99% of hop growers in the world, cheaper than hemp, easier to install and more suitable for composting than wire.
It supports a weight of 45kg (A hop vine weighs between 10 and 30 kg depending on the variety, the weather and the wind)
