Varieties that win every time: Cascade, Brewers Gold, Northern Brewer, Pearl, Yeoman, Glacier, Magnum, Nugget.
In spring (like potatoes) or autumn (like trees): favour bucket plants for the autumn, bare roots for the whole year. Hops will survive the frost if planted at the right depth (the crown must be completely covered) and straw (brf, shavings, straw...).
Everywhere! (but not just any variety) the hop is a climbing plant that can grow on a fence or in hedges, but for an optimal and easier harvest, we advise you to climb the liana around a string (nylon, twine, hemp...) in a sunny place.
All hop plants sold on our site are female plants, the only form that produces hop flowers for brewing, herbal teas, decoration and pharmacology.
Les racines nues ont un système racinaire en moyenne 5 fois plus important qu’un jeune plant, il se développera donc plus vite et donnera plus de cônes en première année.
Le principal avantage du jeune plant est son prix.
The plants sold on HOPSTOCK come from the farm or European countries and are equipped with EPP (European Phyto-Sanitary Passport) or originate from France and therefore comply with specifications that guarantee good propagation practices.
However, there is no "health certification" guaranteeing the total absence of hop viruses, diseases or viroids.
There are more than 250 hop cultivars commercialized in the world, of which about 50 are "protected" by a Varietal Variety Certificate or Patent.
These are cultivars resulting from a varietal research program funded by growers or private companies.
Production licences may be obtained by professional hop growers if they comply with more or less strict specifications. This is the case in particular for the Alsatian varieties Mistral, Aramis or Triskel, for which licences are issued by the Comptoir Agricole, in return for royalties per kg of dry hops produced.

A hop plant reaches full maturity at three years of age, followed by 20 good years of vigorous production, then the plant will begin a slow decline. However, some hop plants have kept their vines for up to 50 years!

If you would like to join a hop association, there may be one in your area!
The plants are not organic, but this does not prevent your certification: hops are not included in the list of "organic" hops.semences biologiques" because there are no suppliers in Europe. Therefore, it can benefit from derogations granted by the certifying body if you have an attestation of non-availability of organic hops (REGULATION (EC) No 834/2007).
