LEGAL NOTICE

Data controller: HOPSTOCK, 2131 route de Merville, 59190 Hazebrouck, France, contact@hopstock.fr. We collect your data when you place an order, create a customer account, request a quote or a pre-order, contact us through the live chat or by e-mail, and when you subscribe to our newsletter. Only authorised HOPSTOCK staff and the service providers listed below have access to it.

What we do with your data, on what legal basis and for how long:

• processing and delivering your orders, issuing invoices, handling customer service, returns and warranties: performance of the contract; data kept for the duration of the business relationship and then for three years from the last order;
• keeping the accounts and the invoices: legal obligation; ten years (Article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code); the written record of a contract worth €120 or more is kept for ten years from delivery (Article L.213-1 of the French Consumer Code);
• managing your customer account, if you create one: performance of the contract; until the account is deleted, which you may request at any time;
• collecting payments and preventing fraud: performance of the contract and legitimate interest; card details are processed by Stripe or PayPal and are not stored by HOPSTOCK;
• answering your contact, quote or pre-order requests: pre-contractual measures or legitimate interest; three years from the last exchange;
• sending you our newsletter: consent, which you may withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in each message; customers: offers for products similar to those purchased, unless you object (Article L.34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code); three years from the last contact or until you unsubscribe;
• measuring website traffic and the effectiveness of our advertising: consent, collected through the cookie banner (see our cookie policy);
• keeping the website secure (connection logs, IP addresses): legitimate interest; for as long as necessary to detect and deal with security incidents;
• handling requests to exercise your rights: legal obligation; for as long as necessary to process the request and to prove that it was answered.

Contact form: the information entered in the form on the Contact page (name, e-mail address, telephone number if given, subject and message) is used solely to answer your request. The message is not stored on the website: it is sent by e-mail to contact@hopstock.fr through Brevo, then kept in our mailbox for the period stated above for contact requests (three years from the last exchange). To prevent abuse, the website records, for one hour, the number of submissions linked to a fingerprint of your IP address, the address itself not being stored; this record is then deleted automatically. This data is not passed on to any third party other than this e-mail service provider. To access your message or have it deleted, write to contact@hopstock.fr.

Recipients and service providers: your data is never sold or rented. Where relevant, it is passed on to the following service providers: Hostinger (website hosting, servers located in France); Stripe and PayPal (payment, including PayPal’s Pay in 4 and Amazon Pay through Stripe); Sendcloud (shipment preparation) and the carriers responsible for delivery (Mondial Relay, GLS, DHL, pallet and timber hauliers); Pennylane (invoicing and accounting) and our chartered accountant; Brevo (sending of order-related e-mails and of the newsletter); Zoho (live chat and quote and pre-order forms); Defiant, publisher of Wordfence (protection of the website against attacks); and, only with your consent, Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook pixel).

Transfers outside the European Union: some of these providers (in particular Google, Meta, Stripe, PayPal and Defiant) may process data in the United States. These transfers are governed by the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for certified companies, or by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Your rights: you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict and object to its processing and to data portability, the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and the right to give instructions on what happens to your data after your death. To exercise these rights, write to contact@hopstock.fr or to the postal address above; if in doubt, we may ask you to prove your identity. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
