The Teamaker hop is a botanical curiosity from the USDA research programme. Unlike almost all other varieties, it was selected for its near-absence of bitterness while retaining a very high concentration of essential oils and beta acids. This makes it the ideal candidate for producing herbal teas, hop iced teas or for flavouring non-alcoholic drinks.
In cultivation, Teamaker shows good vigour and good disease resistance. It flowers generously, producing cones rich in floral aromas without the harsh resinous bitterness of conventional hops. For a full analysis of its components (notably its inverted alpha/beta acid ratio), see the page on ListeHoublon.fr.
Our 10x10x10 cm plug plants are designed to give growers and herbalists solid starting material. This professional format lets the plant establish with vigour comparable to a bare root, while benefiting from the protection of a substrate plug to limit water stress at planting.
Advice: Whether you are planting for flowers to infuse or for a diversification crop, good nitrogen management is key. See our advice on hop fertilisation and find out about our technical support to maximise the quality of your harvests.
