Description
The Glacier hop is a dual-purpose variety selected by Washington State University and released in 2000. Derived from a complex cross that includes Northern Brewer and Fuggle, it was bred to offer a rich sensory profile while retaining a very refined bitterness, thanks to its very low cohumulone level.
From an agronomic point of view, Glacier stands out for its versatility. Although it is often compared to European noble varieties for its mildness, it has a fruity complexity (stone fruit) that makes it indispensable for modern craft brewing. Our 10x10x10 cm plug plants are the ideal compromise for your hop yard. More robust than a young plug in a small pot, they avoid the high cost of bare root plants while providing sufficient root biomass for cone production from the first harvest season.
